Lucky 15 years with breaks, beats and Bleeps Monika Kruse: DJ, producer, label boss and party host Since 15 years Monika Kruse has been bringing the dancefloors from Chicago via Berlin to Tokyo to boil. Furthermore she is pushing her idea of Techno-Funk as producer, party promoter and label owner. Her motivation is straight and sweeping "Music makes me happy!" Consistently she subordinates all her other activities, like her career as a model, which she started as a 4-year-old advertising for a german childrens food product, but, that suddenly ended. "My agency kicked me out cause I only showed up for castings, when I ran out of money for vinyl." Native of Berlin she has been taking part in the development of electronic dance music in Germany since 1991. First as a resident DJ at the Parkcafe and as a member of the legendary Ultraschall crew in Munich, since the middle of the 90ies she has also become an international booked DJ. In the meantime she has moved her homebase back to Berlin, her DJ skills are requested and admired from clubs and raves from all over the globe. From a residency at belgiums Fuseclub to illegal raves or representing German Dance Culture for the Goethe Institute up to japans monster rave WIRE. Her second career as a party promoter also staretd in Munich, where she realised amongst parties at the Ultrashall, also events in trains and on military drill grounds. Her energy level is related to natural disasters. When Monika is behind the decks you can expect flooded dance floors flaming monitor speakers and rotating tanks. Just recently the berlin night life has stared to benifit from her regular Electric Avenue Recordings partys. As a producer she marched through since 1995 with many releases on labels she feels close with and on her on labels, cooperations, own compositions and remixes called their attention. With "Latin Lovers" she released an ambitious highlevel summerhit in 2003. As if this is not enough, Monika Kruse has also been restless running two labels. Since 2000 Terminl M records has been putting out high quality techno (amongst others DJ Rush, Miss Kittin and Patrick Lindsey). In 2003 she started Electric Avenue Recordings - 1st as a more minimal experimental label fo the homebase, now with a international reputation for quality dance music thanx to releases by Tobi Neumann, Märtini Brös, Liebe Ist Cool, Tony Rohr and Toni Vokado...
